Man Stabbed With Ice Pick In Whittier
WHITTIER (CBSLA.com) — A man was stabbed with an ice pick early Wednesday after being confronted by three men in South Whittier, authorities said.
The 24-year-old victim was near the intersection of Mulberry Drive and Calmada Avenue when three men in a dark sedan stopped at about 12:50 a.m. and got out of the car to confront him, Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Jeff Dusky said.
The victim was stabbed with an ice pick in the confrontation, but his injuries were non-life threatening, Dusky said. The victim indicated the incident could be gang-related, but was uncooperative with deputies and would not provide any further details.
The three attackers, described as Hispanic men, fled in their car.
Anyone with information about the incident can call the Norwalk Sheriff's Station at (562) 863-8711.
