Man Spray-Painted In Gold Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI, Hit-And-Run
OAKLAND (CBSLA.com) — A 21-year-old man spray painted in gold was arrested this week on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol in Oakland says the incident unfolded on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Berkeley Wednesday evening.
Authorities say the driver is suspected of hitting three cars.
He was followed by an off-duty officer who officers say witnessed the alleged act, according to the CHP.
While other officers were responding, they received a description of the suspect as being "gold."
"Well, the description was certainly correct as the suspect was covered head to toe in gold spray paint," the CHP wrote via Facebook.
According to CBS San Francisco, the man told officers he was on his way to a photo shoot. He is tentatively scheduled to be arraigned on April 22, according to the publication.
