Man Shot To Death While Trying To Visit Ex-Girlfriend
VAN NUYS (CBS) — Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly shot and killed a 27-year-old man who was trying to visit an ex-girlfriend.
Saul Cameros, 27, went to an apartment home in the 13800 block of Sherman Way Sunday around 11:20 p.m. He was seeking to make contact with a woman with whom he was formerly in a relationship.
Police say while attempting to make contact with the woman, Cameros became involved in an argument with the suspect in the apartment complex courtyard.
The suspect reportedly pulled a gun and shot Cameros in the upper body.
Paramedics pronounced Cameros dead at the scene.
The suspect is a male Hispanic in his mid-twenties, with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and dark pants. Police say he ran from the home following the shooting.
LAPD urges anyone with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts, or the weapon used in the crime to contact homicide detectives at (877) 527-3247.
