Man Shot Several Times In 3rd Pomona Shooting This Week
POMONA (CBSLA.com) — A man was hospitalized Friday with multiple gunshot wounds after a shooting in Pomona, the third in as many days in the city.
The shooting happened about 9 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of North Caswell Avenue, across the street from where a candlelight vigil was being held for the victim of an earlier fatal shooting, Pomona police Sgt. Brian Hagerty said.
At least 10 people attended the vigil for 25-year-old Covan Brady, who was killed in an early morning shooting on Wednesday, Hagerty said.
None of the people at the vigil felt they were in any danger, Hagerty said.
The identity of the victim killed in Thursday night's shooting was withheld. The gunman was described as a man in his 20s.
Charles Patrick, 32, of Pomona, was shot to death and a companion was wounded in a separate shooting Tuesday night.
