Man Shot And Killed In Broad Daylight On Compton Street
COMPTON (CBS) — A man standing with another male was shot and killed Wednesday in Compton when two men walked up and one pulled a trigger in what detectives believe may be a gang-related killing.
The shooting occurred about 12:50 p.m. in the 200 block of North Spring Avenue, between Compton Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue, said Deputy Lillian Peck of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
The suspects fled in a vehicle.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Peck said.
