Man Shoots Self After Allegedly Pushing Body Out Of Car
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say a man who allegedly shot a woman to death and pushed her body out of his car onto a Southern California freeway later shot himself.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Suzie Ferrell says the man is hospitalized Saturday in unknown condition.
Witnesses reported the body was dumped from a black Honda Friday evening near the La Crescenta Avenue off-ramp from the westbound 210 Freeway in La Crescenta. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ferrell says the male driver was pulled over a short time later on a connecting freeway. He had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
At least one lane of the westbound 210 Freeway was closed for hours as investigators interviewed witnesses.
The identities of the man and the woman are not immediately available.
