Man Sentenced To 110 Years After Strangling Neighbor To Death

SANTA ANA (AP) — A Southern California man has been sentenced to 110 years to life in state prison for strangling his neighbor after finding her in bed with his 18-year-old son during a dinner party.

Guillermo Rodriguez was convicted in October of first-degree murder in the 2006 death of Donna Dutton.

He also was convicted of making criminal threats and dissuading a witness from testifying.

Rodriguez's son testified that his father became enraged when he caught him in bed with Dutton after a night of partying at the father's Fullerton apartment.

The son said his father argued with Dutton and ordered him out of the room.

Prosecutors say the son, who was sentenced to a year in prison, later helped his father dispose of the body.
