Man Sentenced For Fatal Crash That Killed Corona Grandfather
CORONA (CBSLA.com) — A 23-year-old man has been sentenced for intentionally running over and killing a local grandfather on a bicycle.
Anthony Ray Lopez received 25 years to life in prison in the accident that claimed the life of 68-year-old Armando Herman Villalobos.
KNX 1070's Brian Ping says Lopez was convicted of first-degree murder stemming from the Jan. 2012 incident.
The crash happened just a block away from the victim's residence in Home Gardens.

Villalobos reportedly cut in front of Lopez, forcing him to stop abruptly, Ping said.
According to Ping, a witness said he heard a passenger in Lopez's car say "let's go for him" before the vehicle struck Villalobos, lodging him underneath the pick-up truck.
Prosecutors say the two men in the vehicle had been drinking at a Corona bar that afternoon.
