Man Pleads To SoCal Sex Assaults On Disabled
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A former employee has pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting three mentally disabled women at a Southern California adult day care center.
The Los Angeles Times says Juan Fernando Flores entered the plea Thursday to sexual assault. He faces up to eight years in prison.
His attorney, Peter Navarro, declined to comment to the Times.
Prosecutors say Flores was a cook and driver at the Healthy Start center in El Monte when he assaulted the women in 2009 and last year. Authorities say the women ranged in age from 24 to 54 and have the mental capacity of children. One has Down's syndrome.
