Man Pleads Guilty To Selling Fake Disneyland Tickets On Craigslist

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man pleaded guilty Tuesday to selling counterfeit Disneyland tickets on craigslist.

Terance Ray Hutchinson, 35, put the "park hopper" passes online at a lower price.

Buyers, however, were told their tickets were fake when they attempted to enter the Anaheim park.

Hutchinson was arrested after police set up a surveillance camera during a meeting between Hutchinson and one of his victims, who asked for more tickets in order to get a refund.

Disneyland officials claim about 50 of the fraudulent tickets were given to the box office.

Hutchinson pleaded guilty in a plea agreement that calls for two other charges to be dismissed.

His next court date is Sept. 21.

Hutchinson is expected to be sentenced to 30 days community service. He will also be required to pay back his victims, among other things.

Anyone with information about the scam can call Sgt. Mike Austin at (310) 830-1123.
