Man Pleads Guilty To Ohio Suitcase Pot Probe
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A man has pleaded not guilty to charges related to an alleged scheme to fly thousands of pounds of marijuana from California to Ohio.
Authorities say the operation distributed about 7,000 pounds of pot and made more than $3 million from November 2009 through April.
Ko Young of Winnetka, Calif., entered not guilty pleas in federal court in Columbus Wednesday on a conspiracy charge and five counts of possession with intent to distribute more than 200 pounds of marijuana.
The 36-year-old Young was one of six California residents charged in September in the conspiracy.
One co-leader in the plot pleaded guilty last month and the other alleged co-leader, Lisette Lee, is scheduled for trial next year.
