Man, 21, Killed In Hawthorne Stabbing
HAWTHORNE (CBS) —Police say a 21-year-old man was fatally stabbed early Thursday morning in what may have been a "random act" on a street in Hawthorne.
The stabbing was reported at about 2:10 a.m. at the corner of Inglewood Avenue and Rosecrans Avenue, Hawthorne police Lt. Kenneth Swain said.
Randall Baker, Jr. was pronounced dead where he was found in the street, Swain told reporters.
Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide detectives were called to assist in the death investigation.
Eastbound and westbound lanes of Rosecrans were shut down at Inglewood for the investigation, according to Swain and the California Highway Patrol.
No information about a suspect or suspects was released.
