Man Killed After Answering Door In Compton Identified
COMPTON (CBS) — A man was fatally shot in Compton when he answered a knock at his door was identified today as 29-year-old local.
Donald Kelly died in the shooting in the 1300 block of East Culver Avenue about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to authorities.
"Witnesses said that there was a knock at the door of the residence," Deputy Jeffrey Gordon said. "When the victim opened the door, he was shot."
No arrests were reported. Anyone with more information was asked to call the Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
