Man Just Released From Jail Re-Arrested In Alhambra
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A 25-year-old man just released from the Alhambra jail was re-arrested Friday when he allegedly broke into a car in front of the police station, vandalized a gate, and stole some construction equipment from a high school while wearing a stolen parking enforcement uniform.
Leonardo Zepeda was arrested Friday morning and booked on suspicion of auto burglary, commercial burglary, and possession of stolen property, Alhambra police Lt. Jennifer Wiese said.
Zepeda was picked up on an unspecified warrant Thursday and was released early the following day.
He reportedly broke into a parking enforcement officer's car, stole the uniform, and ripped out the stereo at around 5:45 a.m.
Police started getting reports of someone stealing concrete and chicken wire from a construction site at Alhambra High School about an hour later.
Zepeda was arrested there after allegedly breaking into a van at the school.
