LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A 27-year-old Rosemead man, who led authorities to a woman's body buried in an El Monte backyard, has been jailed on suspicion of murder.
Johnny Huynh reportedly alerted the Alhambra Police Department Friday of human remains buried in the backyard of a townhouse.
Coroner's investigators with a specialized team unearthed the remains about in the 9400 block of Cortada Street later in the day, and a sheriff's spokesman said the body appeared to have been in the ground for "a number of years."
The woman's name and how she may have died has not been disclosed.
Huynh was being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
