Man Fatally Struck In Valencia While Trying To Cross Freeway
VALENCIA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say one person has died in an accident in Valencia.
The crash occurred just before 1 a.m. Saturday on the 5 Freeway at Rye Canyon Road.
The California Highway Patrol says an unidentified man was fatally struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the southbound lanes.
The driver of that vehicle was arrested.
Although it was not immediately known what that person was suspected of, investigators say alcohol may have been a factor.
An investigation is ongoing.
