Man Fatally Shot In San Bernardino Parking Lot
SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday were investigating the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man in a San Bernardino parking lot.
Juan Carlos Villapurdua died late Wednesday night in the parking lot of a strip mall in the 2800 W. block of Rialto Avenue, according to authorities.
Villapurdua was in the parking lot when he came into contact with at least one person who was driving a white car.
"Gunshots were then fired from within the car that struck the victim," Sgt. Gary Robertson said.
Villapurdua suffered at least one gunshot wound to his upper torso and died at the scene.
Police are looking for a newer model white car, possibly a Nissan. A suspect description was not released.
A motive for the shooting was unknown.
