Man Shot By Police Officer In Anaheim
ANAHEIM (AP) — A police officer has shot and wounded a man in an Anaheim neighborhood.
Sgt. Allan Roman says the officer wasn't injured during Thursday's 5:40 a.m. shooting on South Rexford Lane.
The victim, whose name hasn't been released, is described only as stable at a nearby hospital. It's unclear if the man was armed.
The sergeant says there are few details. He says the officer wasn't dispatched to the area prior to the shooting.
Anaheim police detectives and Orange County district attorney's office investigators are on the scene in an effort to locate witnesses.
