Domestic Dispute May Have Sparked Fatal Shooting At Pechanga Resort & Casino
TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — A man was fatally shot in a hotel room at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula Friday night.
The incident escalated from a domestic violence incident that occurred at the hotel, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Raymond Huskey said.
Police received a report at 11 p.m. that a man was in the lobby suffering several gunshot wounds.
Deputies arrived to find the man, in his 50s, with a woman somehow involved with the incident. She sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators have not yet identified the man or discussed what led up to the shooting.
Casino spokeswoman Ciara Green couldn't recall the last time something this severe had ever happened at the casino.
"It's very unfortunate," Green said. "It's something that, of course, nobody wants to see anywhere."
No suspects are outstanding and all involved parties are known, said the Riverside Sheriff's dept.
