Arrest Made In Connection With Shooting Death Of Army Vet In Sylmar
SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they have booked an 18-year-old man in connection with the shooting death of Army veteran Francisco Garcia, who was gunned down Sunday.
The LAPD Mission Division confirmed the arrest of Vincent Estrada of Sylmar on their official Twitter account.
Estrada was booked into Van Nuys jail on suspicion of murder. His bail was set at $1 million.
According to police, Estrada was initially detained by officers while driving with his parents in Sylmar.
Garcia recently returned from serving in Afghanistan and was fatally shot Sunday morning while attending a party with friends at a home on Dronfield Street.
No further information about Estrada was released.
