Man Commits Suicide Outside West Hollywood Sheriff's Station

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  — Authorities said a distraught man shot and killed himself outside the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station on Saturday evening.

At approximately 10:25 p.m. at 780 North San Vicente Boulevard authorities said a man phoned the sheriff's department to say he was in the parking lot and going to kill himself.

Deputies responded to the lot and said they found the man already deceased.

A preliminary investigation said the man suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the upper body.

Authorities did not reveal if the man offered a motive for the suicide.

The gun was recovered at the scene.
