Man Charged With Murder In Death Of Toddler
INGLEWOOD (AP) — Authorities say a 21-year-old man has been charged with murder in the death of a 2-year-old girl in Inglewood.
Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Lillian Peck says Davon Smith was charged Tuesday with murder and felony child abuse and endangerment.
Smith was arrested Thursday and is being held on $1 million bail.
The coroner ruled the girl's death a homicide, citing major physical trauma to the toddler.
Authorities say the child was living with her maternal grandmother and an adult male. The child's mother is incarcerated.
