Man arrested for attempted murder following stabbing at San Bernardino County bus stop
Authorities arrested a suspect for alleged attempted murder following a stabbing at a San Bernardino County bus stop on Sunday.
It happened at around 1:15 p.m. on Palmdale Road near Highway 395, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Investigators say that they were called to the area when employees with the Victory Valley Transit Authority called to report that two passengers were fighting on a bus near the Adelanto intersection.
Upon arrival, they located the suspect, 27-year-old Randy Serpa, and took him into custody.
"The victim suffered several stab wounds on his head and torso and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries," SBSD's statement said. Their condition was not noted by investigators.
Serpa remains behind bars on $1 million bail after he was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, deputies said.
While their investigation continues, deputies advise the public that they believe this to be an isolated incident and that no other passengers or VVTA employees were involved.
No further information was provided.
