Man Arrested After Allegedly Holding His Mother-In-Law Hostage
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police have arrested a man they say held his mother-in-law hostage for six hours in a Hollywood home.
Sgt. Rudy Vidal tells the Los Angeles Times that a domestic violence report sent officers to the home at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, leading to a standoff with the man inside.
Vidal says the man surrendered and released the woman at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, shortly after SWAT teams arrived.
Vidal says the man wasn't armed and the woman wasn't hurt.
He was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats. His name wasn't immediately released.
