Man Allegedly Slashed Roommate Across Stomach Following Drunken Dispute
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man was taken into custody Friday on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly slashing his roommate across the stomach.
The assault happened after a drunken dispute between the roommates in an apartment in the 2500 block of Ocean View Avenue, Los Angeles police Sgt. Melvin Gamble said.
"His guts were hanging out when the officers got there," Gamble said of the victim, a man in his early 30s.
The victim's roommate, a man in his late 20s, fled the apartment and was found nearby at 2:25 a.m., an hour after the assault, he said.
The victim was in stable condition, Gamble said.
