Man Accused Of Fatally Beating, Stabbing Wife Faces Judge
POMONA (CBSLA.com) — A West Covina man has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing and beating of his wife.
Tomas Infante, 60, is accused of murdering his wife after her body was found in the trunk of a SUV in a parking lot at the Hawaiian Gardens Casino.
He was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday inside a Pomona courtroom. The hearing was continued until Feb. 13.
On Saturday, Infante reported his wife – a nurse – missing. He said she failed to return home after working the overnight shift Friday morning.
His wife's body was found Sunday morning around 9:20.
Detectives said they have security video of Infante dropping the vehicle off at the casino.
Infante is being held on $1 million bail.
If convicted, Infante faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
