Man, 34, Arrested For Allegedly Groping 11-Year-Old In Public Pool
EAST LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 34-year-old man was arrested Sunday for allegedly groping an 11-year-old girl while they were swimming in an East Los Angeles pool.
Carlos Gutierrez is facing a possible child annoyance charge for the reported Aug. 11 incident at a county park, according to the sheriff's Park Bureau.
The suspect supposedly touched the girl in the chest and groin area.
The victim told authorities what happened, but Gutierrez ran off.
Gutierrez may be turned over to federal authorities once the case is resolved because of immigration reasons.
The suspect is currently at the sheriff's East Los Angeles Station.
