Man, 34, Arrested After Police Recover $1.3M In Marijuana, Cocaine

FOUNTAIN VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A 34-year-old man was arrested when police discovered marijuana and cocaine worth more than $1.3 million during a search of two homes in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley.

Jace Remington, who was free on bail on narcotics charges, was booked Tuesday on suspicion of possession of marijuana and cocaine for sale after authorities recovered 115 pounds of pot valued at $1.3 million and 1.5 pounds of cocaine worth $63,193 in the 6300 block of Myrtle Drive in Huntington Beach and the 8600 block of El Cerro Circle in Fountain Valley.

Remington was released from custody after posting bail on Wednesday, jail records stated.

The suspect was previously charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, sale or transport of a controlled substance, possession for sale of marijuana, sale or transport of marijuana, and possession of concentrated cannabis, all felonies, in connection to a June arrest.

Remington also faces misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and on a suspended or revoked license, as well as a sentencing enhancement for committing a secondary offense while released from custody, according to court records.
