Man, 30, Shot And Wounded In Compton
COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — Officials said a 30-year-old man was shot and wounded Sunday in Compton.
The extent of the man's wounds was not immediately available but authorities said the man was transported to a hospital.
The victim was shot once around 1:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Rosecrans and Wilmington Avenue, according to Sgt. Mark Lopez of the LA County Sheriff's Compton Station.
Authorities said they have no witnesses and no suspect description was available.
While detectives investigated the shooting, northbound lanes of Wilmington Avenue just south of Rosecans were shut.
