Man, 22, Who Sustained Severe Injuries In Rancho Cucamonga Plane Crash Identified
GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — The pilot of a small single-engine airplane that crashed in Rancho Cucamonga Friday has been identified, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
Ethan Gadis, 22, of Glendora reportedly suffered what San Bernardino County fire authorities described as severe injuries.
Gadis was airlifted to a hospital but his medical condition was not immediately known, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Jodi Miller said.
The single-engine Luscombe 8A Gadis flew crashed for unknown reasons about 6:15 p.m. Friday in Ranco Cucamonga, said Ian Gregor, western spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration.
The plane was flying very low and came to rest in a graded dirt lot in the 10800 block of Almond Street, near Haven Avenue, sheriff's authorities said.
There were no passengers on the plane.
