Man, 19, Killed And 3 Others Suffer Major Injuries In I-15 Rollover Crash
CORONA (CBS) — A 19-year-old Corona man was killed and three other people suffered major injuries when the mini-van he was traveling in ran off Interstate 15 and crashed on an adjacent roadway, the coroner's office said Sunday.
Felix Alexander Arguelles was ejected in the rollover crash that took place at about 9 p.m. Saturday night near the overpass at Temescal Canyon Road just outside Corona, the fire department said.
Arguelles was pronounced dead at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar at 11:53 p.m., according to the coroner.
Three other passengers were trapped inside, extricated by firefighters and then hospitalized with major injuries, a fire department spokesman said.
The three were not immediately identified.
The California Highway Patrol closed Temescal Canyon Road next to the freeway in both directions for several hours, according to the fire department.
