Malibou Lake Barricade Situation Ends With Suspect Taking His Own Life
MALIBOU LAKE (CBS) — A man that barricaded himself inside a home near Malibou Lake in the Santa Monica Mountains apparently committed suicide after an hours-long standoff Sunday.
The barricade situation began around 10:40 a.m. at a home in the 29000 block of Paiute Drive, according to Sgt. Mark Bock of the Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff's station.
A special weapons team went into the home and found the man dead around 4:45 p.m.
"The male resident was found with a self-inflicted apparent gunshot wound," he said.
The man's name was being withheld as part of a further investigation, Bock said.
