'Mad Dog' Mark Madsen To Coach Lakers' Development League Team LA D-Fenders
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - The man who once "danced" on the streets of Los Angeles in front of millions after the Lakers won their back-to-back NBA Title in 2001 will now be the coach of the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA Development league, according to Yahoo.
Mark Madsen will take over Reggie Theus, who took a job to coach Cal State Northridge, for the head coaching position of the Lakers' development team.
Madsen won two NBA titles with the Lakers (2001 and 2002) and spent nine years in the NBA, last with Minnesota in 2009.
Madsen will leave Stanford as the assistant to his alma mater Stanford.
'Mad Dog' Madsen is best remembered for his AWESOME dance moves with his tucked in shirt during the victory parade where Shaq raps "It Takes Two."
