Luxe For Less: Holiday Decor
You do not need to spend a lot of money to made an impact this Christmas. Picking a limited color scheme will keep your look chic and will also help you use restraint while shopping too!
I went for red and gold this year.
My mantle is decorated with a simple green, lit garland from Costco for $19.99.
I bought large rolls of red and gold ribbon for less than $5.00.
The beads and poinsettias are from Michael's.
The white piped ribbon at the 99 Cent store, but the rolls were so short, this entire bow was $1!
I first layered red and gold ribbon for bows on my entertainment center.
It looked too much like a USC tailgating party - not that there's anything wrong with that - I went to USC.
But when I stuck to red, it was so much more elegant!
I made these arrangements from clusters of flowers at Costco.
I visited a few florists, but the costs were off the charts! Flower marts are reasonable too.
I love candy dishes! I bought the hot tamales and chocolate raisins in bulk, and the scoops are from Cost Plus.
It's so much fun (and cheaper) to decorate a tree with non-traditional ornaments.
Olvera Street has the most unique figures, small sombreros and tin ornaments.
The cards are from a deck of Loteria, a bingo game!
I found this miniature pinata for $3 on Olvera Street.
He's like Ferdinand the Bull sniffing the flowers. :)
Happy decorating!
