'Lunch' With The Legendary Kings Of Comedy
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — On every other Wednesday for the past 40 years, a group of legendary old-school Hollywood comedians join together for lunch.
CBS2's Paul Magers recently sat down with Arthur Hiller ("The Americanization Of Emily"), "Rocky" Kalish ("Too Close For Comfort"), Gary Owens ("Laugh-In"), John Rappaport ("M*A*S*H"), Matty Simmons ("Animal House") and Ben Starr ("Diff'rent Strokes" and "Facts Of Life") at Factor's Famous Deli, where they reminisced about the entertainment business and dear friends.
The men's tradition, which started as merely sandwiches and small talk, eventually turned into a documentary called "Lunch." The film will debut at the Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival June 2.
