Los Angeles Marathon Street Closures
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The Honda LA Marathon will take place Sunday, March 18.
The race begins at Dodger Stadium and will end 26.2 miles later in Santa Monica, forcing the closure of many well-traveled streets in the city.
The LA Marathon begins at 6:55 a.m. for wheelchair participants, 7 a.m. for hand cyclists and 7:24 a.m. for runners.
The course route will begin to be cleaned and reopened to normal traffic in a rolling manner. As soon as the start line clears, crews will start cleaning the route and reopening the streets at a pace no faster than a 13 minute per mile pace.
