Long Beach Hit By Power Outage Again
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) – Hundreds of Long Beach residents are suffering through another round of power outage in the midst of a heat wave.
The lights went out Tuesday evening in the Delta Avenue area near Silverado Park.
City officials say 1,400 residents lost power around 6 p.m. Around 900 are still in the dark as of 11:45 p.m., according to Southern California Edison.
It's not clear what caused Tuesday night's outage.
Most of the electricity is expected to be restored overnight.
