LMU Offers $20K Reward For Arrest Of Halloween Rape Suspect
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A $20,000 reward was offered Wednesday for information that would lead to the arrest of the person who is responsible for raping a Loyola Marymount University student.
Around 12:40 a.m. on Nov. 1, 2014, a student was raped in a home, located in the 8700 block of Yorktown Avenue, during a Halloween party that was attended by LMU students and visitors, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Detectives described the suspect as a Caucasian man in his early 20s who has brown shoulder-length hair, stands 6-feet-tall, and weighs 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white top hat, and a white shirt with dark pants.
It remains unclear if the suspect was an LMU student, however, officials have determined that he did not know the victim.
The LAPD and LMU Department of Public Safety have released a sketch of the suspect as part of their extensive investigation.
Police explained additional information is needed to identify the person responsible for this crime.
