LASD Deputy Finds Mobile Hash Lab During Traffic Stop
LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — A 23-year-old Lancaster man was in custody after a routine traffic stop uncovered a mobile drug lab, authorities said Tuesday.
The discovery was made after a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy pulled over driver Jeremy Taylor for speeding on Avenue L near 35th Street West early Monday morning, according to LASD Lancaster Station.
When the deputy determined that Taylor was allegedly in possession of marijuana and hashish, he initiated a search of the vehicle and found additional containers of hashish.
Several pieces of equipment that are used in the manufacturing of hashish were also found, authorities said. Deputies described the equipment as comprising a "complete hash lab."
Taylor was arrested and faces several drug related charges. His bail was set at $75,000.
