This Monday is the first day of December, but more importantly it's National Pie Day! Celebrate by heading over to Pie 'n Burger on E. California Boulevard to try one of their delicious dishes. Pie 'n Burger has over 20 varieties of pie so there's sure to be something for everyone. Year round pies include the classics like apple, cherry, blue berry and pumpkin. Catch your Los Angeles Kings as they go up against the Boston Bruins this Tuesday in the latest of chapter of their cross-country rivalry. Jeff Carter, Drew Doughty and net-minder Jonathan Quick will go head to head with the Bruins' Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara and goalie Tuuka Rask as both teams look to cement their place as top teams in their respective conferences. As an added bonus December 2nd is "Mini Stick and Display Base Giveaway Night," where all fans in attendance will receiver a Dustin Brown mini stick and commemorative stick holder. The puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and tickets start at $37 online.

It isn't technically winter yet in the City of Angels, but that shouldn't stop you from having some winter-y fun. Hit up the Pasadena Ice Skating Center on E. Green Street this Thursday for regular public skate from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. or cheap skate from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Regular public skate costs $10 for admission plus $4 for skate rental if you don't have your own set of blades. The later cheap skate session is a flat $10 fee that includes skate rental. Pasadena residents get $1 off admission for either session with valid ID. Expand your horizons this Friday at the Griffith Observatory located at 2800 East Observatory Road by sitting in on their monthly public program, "All Space Considered." The program is held within the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon and is totally free to attend. Join Dr. Laura Danly, Dr. David Reitzel, Anthony Cook and Patrick So as they discuss the latest space and astronomy news. The Griffith Observatory is open from noon to 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and the "All Space Considered" program runs from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

R&B singer Jhene Aiko will be taking the stage at Club Nokia on West Olympic Boulevard this Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Aiko began her career in music as a contributing vocalist for B2K and in the last few years has collaborated with industry giants like Childish Gambino, Drake and Kanye West. Her 2013 EP, Sail Out, peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200 Chart with the lead single "The Worst," climbing to number four on the U.S. Adult R&B Songs Billboard Chart. Tickets are going for $63 and up online.
