Pop Some Tags At The Thrift Shop

August 25th is National Secondhand Wardrobe Day. Stop in at any one of LA's Out Of The Closet thrift stores to snatch some deals while also donating money to a great cause. Proceeds from every sale made at Out Of The Closet go towards HIV/AIDS research. Free HIV/AIDS tests are also offered at all locations in addition to on -site pharmacies so you can fill your prescriptions while you shop. New items are available daily so no two shopping experiences are ever the same. If you would like to donate money or your belongings to Out Of The Closet you can do so at one of their storefronts or by visiting their website.

Have A Happy Night

Every Tuesday at The Virgil is all night happy hour starting at 7:00 p.m. Drink specials include $6 craft cocktails, $5 beer and $5 wine. The Virgil has two bar areas, the main bar and the b side. Both areas are spacious enough that you won't feel cramped whether you're standing around talking or breaking it down on the dance floor. This Tuesday, patrons at The Virgil are in for a special treat as sketch comedy group, Warp Zone, will be performing live during all night happy hour. If you'd rather to listen to music over comedy, head over to the b side for free access to the bar's jukebox machine all night long.

Spend An Evening With Ed Sheeran

U.K. born singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran launches his own British Invasion of LA this week as he stops by the Staples Center as part of his world tour. Hot off the release of his second album, X (pronounced multiply), this is Sheeran's first headlining tour in the U.S. The lead single off his new album, Sing, has reached #1 status in 7 different countries and climbed to number 13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Sheeran will be performing songs from both X and his first album + (pronounced plus), which was nominated for World's Best Album at the 2014 World Music Awards. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets start at $48.

Stuff Yourself With Bacon

Date: Saturday, August 30

The world is celebrating International Bacon Day this Saturday and who are you not to partake in the festivities? Come into The Blue Dog Beer Tavern on Saugus Avenue in Sherman Oaks for some of the best bacon burgers you can find in Cali. The BIG's Spicy Mac burger is made of a secret blend of cheeses, fresh jalapeños and applewood-smoked bacon - all for only $9. For $3 more you can enjoy the Chi Chi burger; ground patty topped with cheddar cheese, hash browns and thick cut applewood-smoked bacon served with a sunny side fried egg in a maple-syrup bun. Look At The Big Picture With Alfred Hitchcock

Date: Sunday, August 31

This year the Hollywood Bowl's Big Picture show honors legendary film maker Alfred Hitchcock. Scene's from some of the Master of Suspense's greatest flicks will be played on the bowl's big screen, accompanied by live performances of their iconic musical scores. Scenes from Vertigo, Dial M for Murder and Strangers on a Train are just some of the classic cinematography that will be on display. The Big Picture show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets start for as low as $12.
