LA's First Marijuana Farmers Market To Take Place Over The Weekend

BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles' first marijuana farmers market began Friday.

The California Heritage Market will run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday at West Coast Collective on Esperanza Street in Boyle Heights.

The market will be open to card-carrying cannabis patients who will get the chance to meet growers, educate themselves and get better prices by cutting out the middleman, according to executive administrator Paizley Bradbury.

The event will feature up to 50 vendors, including glass blowers, edibles and even author Michael Green, who wrote the book "Modern Marijuana Living: Lighting the Way to a Healthy Lifestyle".
