Large Commercial Fire Breaks Out At Pallet Yard In South LA, Power Being Restored In Area
SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A fire broke out at a commercial building in South Los Angeles Wednesday night.
According to initial reports, the flames started in a large pallet yard in the 9400 block of South Alameda Street.
An ember from the fire landed on a palm tree a few blocks away and sparked a small spot fire, but firefighters were able to get it out quickly.
The majority of the flames were said to be out at about 11 p.m. as firefighters worked to mop up the scene.
Power was shut off in the area, but was restored at 11 p.m.
