LAPD Motorcycle Officer Suffers Minor Injuries In Mid-City Crash
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was injured Wednesday morning in a mid-city traffic accident.
The collision between a white pickup truck and the officer occurred around 6:20 a.m. near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, officials said.
The truck was pulling out of a driveway when the officer's motorcycle hit it on the left side of the bed. The officer flew off the bike and into the road, suffering a broken wrist and other minor injuries, according to the LAPD.
He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
The accident was under investigation.
The driver of the truck was cited for driving without a license, officials said.
