Scene Cleared At LAX After Bomb Threat Phone Call

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday responded to the Los Angeles International Airport after receiving a bomb threat.

LAX Airport Police said they received a call around 12 p.m. about a bomb at an undisclosed location in the Tom Bradley International Terminal.

The terminal was evacuated and traffic was being diverted from the upper level. The incident was cleared around 1:05 p.m. after nothing suspicious was found.

The call came in just three hours before President Barack Obama was scheduled to board Air Force One after his two-day fundraising trip in the Southland.

No further details were released.
