LAPD Car Collides With Motorcyle In Sun Valley
SUN VALLEY (CBS) — One LAPD car was involved in a traffic collision Sunday with a single motorcyclist in Sun Valley.
The motorcyclist was part of a group of hundreds of bikers, according to LAPD Officer Karen Rayner.
The accident happened just after 2 p.m. near the intersection of Sunland Boulevard and Stonehurst Avenue. It was initially reported to have taken place in Sunland.
Officers requested back-up due to the high volume of motorcycles, which were diverted on to other streets.
Rayner said it was unknown if anyone was injured in the crash, but officers were clearing the scene just before 2:30 p.m.
Los Angeles fire paramedics were sent to the scene, according to dispatchers.
