Lakers Owner Dr. Jerry Buss Hospitalized For Dehydration
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss was rushed to a hospital Tuesday to be treated for dehydration.
Buss, 78, reportedly became ill at home about 9 p.m. Monday and someone inside his home called 911.
The Lakers issued this statement Tuesday morning:
"In response to media inquiries and to dispel rumors and inaccurate reports, we'd like to state that Dr. Buss is in a local hospital where he is being treated for dehydration. He is recovering and is expected to be released soon."
Buss was hospitalized in December for blood clots in his leg caused by "excessive travel."
