Lakers Forget About Spurs Loss And Focus On Thunder For Their Home Finale
LOS ANGELES (CBS) Although Kobe Bryant led the team with 18 points, it couldn't prevent the Lakers from being embarrassed by the top team in the Western Conference, the San Antonio Spurs, for a second straight meeting.
Popovich's crew even limited the Lakers' big man Andrew Bynum to only two rebounds, when a week ago he had a career high of 30 rebounds against the same team.
Back in El Segundo, Saturday, the Lakers addressed what they need to do to win the last two games of the regular season, starting with their home finale against the explosive Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday at the Staples Center.
"They are very athletic. They go out and run very well. They have terrific scorers with those three guys[Durant, Haren and Westbrook] and they are a solid defensive team," said coach Mike Brown at Saturday's practice. "They have given us trouble before and we gotta make sure we can sustain their run."
