Lakers Close To Deal With Brian Shaw For Lead Assistant Coaching Job
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Lakers are nearing a deal with Brian Shaw to become the team's lead assistant coach.
The Lakers recently hired Luke Walton as their head coach, and look to surround Walton with assistants with head coaching experience.
Shaw was the head coach of the Denver Nuggets from 2013-2015, after stints with the Indiana Pacers and Lakers an associate coach.
Shaw also played for the Lakers from 1999-2003, and was teammates with Walton for one season.
