Lakers & Clippers 2015-2016 NBA Schedule's Released

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The NBA released the schedules of all 30 teams on Wednesday during a special television broadcast that aired on NBATV.

The program revealed that both Los Angeles teams will play each other on Christmas Day at the Staples Center.

The Lakers will start the season by playing the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 28th, as number two overall pick D'Angelo Russell will take on the number one overall selection, Karl Anthony-Towns on opening night of the NBA.

The Clippers begin their season by traveling to Sacramento to play the Kings on October 29th, before hosting the Mavericks in their home opener the following night on the 29th.

The NBA season will open on October 27th, as the Cavaliers will travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls, and the Pelicans will travel to the bay area to face the Golden State Warriors.

The full Christmas Day schedule was also released Wednesday, and features five high-profile match-ups.

Other interesting match-ups that were revealed on Wednesday included the Mavericks hosting the Clippers on November 11th.

This marks the first time DeAndre Jordan will be playing in Dallas since he spurned the team in free agency this summer. Jordan initially gave a verbal agreement to the Mavericks that he would sign with them, only to change his mind days later, and re-sign with the Clippers.

It's safe to say he will be hearing a chorus of boo's when he enters the arena to play against the Mavericks.

Also on November 11th, the San Antonio Spurs will travel to Portland to play the Trail Blazers, in what will be the return of LaMarcus Aldridge.

Prior to joining the Spurs this season, Aldridge had played every game of his NBA career with the Trail Blazers.

On March 10th, the Cavaliers will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers, in what could be the final match-up between LeBron James and Kobe Bryant ever.

On February 8th, newly-signed Lakers center Roy Hibbert will make his return to Indiana as the Pacers host the Lakers in the big man's first game back after playing his whole career there.

Hibbert led to Pacers to back-to-back Conference Finals appearances in 2013 and 2014.

The Cavaliers will host the Boston Celtics on December 15th, as it will be the first time both Kevin Love and Kelly Olynyk will be on the floor together since last season when Olynyk dislocated Love's shoulder in the playoffs.

The Detroit Pistons, Denver Nuggets, and Philadelphia 76ers are the only three teams that do not have at least one nationally-televised game this season.
